They've constructed reality-tunnels for themselves in which there is no such thing as negative reinforcement. Whatever you do, or don't, they get to feel their own little warm fuzzies about Jesus. It's not an accident that one of the cornerstones of the right-wing propaganda/manipulation machine is sexual hysteria. ("abortion" and "gay anything") It seems to me more important to aid those still rescuable than to divert the incurables. I don't have a lot of good ideas about how, but emotional and intellectual support, and contradicting There Is No Alternative, both in word and deed, are important.
