greenmanThis is my first entry, on my first day of my first Livejournal. Anyone want to give me odds on how long I'll keep updating it? 8)
I've kept a couple of journals before, but never for very long, usually a couple entries or so. And those have always been solely for me, not for public consumption. I'd like to think that I'll keep myself fairly open here, but I don't know yet. I guess I'll see how things progress.
I've always been both kind of a voyeur and an exhibitionist. I guess that this is similar, in a way. I've had ethical dilemmas with the idea of being a voyeur... I want to watch people, and see how they act when they're not being watched. But it's an incredible invasion of privacy, and I don't really want to do that, either. I know that when I'm being private, I'd be horribly offended if I found out that someone was watching me... On the other hand, when I'm willing to share what I'm doing, it's different, because I know that people are watching me. I guess I'll find out how much of an exhibitionist I really am, with this thing. At least on a mental level.
Physical exhibitionism isn't a problem for me, since I don't have much body modesty. I tend to watch that, though, and try to match my physical show to other peoples' body modesty, or to default to assuming that they have much more than I do. I don't want to offend people, I just don't happen to care what I'm wearing or not wearing, as long as I'm comfortable. Someday I'd like to go to a nudist resort, just to see what it's like. I've been to clothing optional places, but that's a little different, too.
Hm... Seems like this is turning out to be pretty much a train of thought kind of thing, at least when I don't have any particular, specific subject. Well, rather than turning people off by meandering down the twisted little pathways of my mind all at once, maybe I should wrap this up for now, and see where I go from here. And see who goes with me... 8)
