Neighbors discover they've been raising the same cat for years without knowing, leading to a dispute

Posted by Bar Mor Hazut

Letting your cat be an outdoor cat who freely roams the streets means you obviously cannot know everything they are up to during the day. They can be little aliens planning the destruction of planet Earth with the rest of the neighborhood cats, and you would know nothing about it.

Realistically, the biggest secret outdoor cats can keep from their owners is that they are dancing at two weddings, having two owners at the same time. Which is exactly what happened with the sneaky cat in the story below.

After years of taking care of this silly cat, the owner decided to put a collar and a tracker to always know where she is when she comes and goes. The same day, this owner gets a call from a neighbor who claims that the cat is actually his, and that he even had her spayed and microchipped. This led to quite a lengthy discussion between the two owners, who tried to figure out who had a bigger claim for the cat, who had enjoyed the comfort of both of their homes so far.

Who do you think should get to claim ownership of this friendly feline? Keep scrolling to read the full tale.

22 Sleepy Memes of Cats Power Napping Their Way Through the Midweek Slump

Posted by Sarah Brown

It's the middle of the week. That strange, sleepy no-man's-land known as Wednesday. The coffee's worn off, the weekend's still a distant dream, and even the most productive paws are starting to drag. If ever there was a time for a power cat nap, this is it.

Cats have it all figured out. They don't fight the midweek slump. They curl up, tuck their tails, and snooze through it. While hoomans chug espresso and pretend to be functional, cats simply press paws and reboot their whiskers. A solid 20-minute cat nap can turn a grumpy furball into a purring powerhouse again.

So maybe it's time to take a page from their playbook: find a sunny spot, stretch dramatically, and close those tired eyes. Whether it's on a couch, desk, or questionable laundry pile, midweek naps are an act of self-care. Remember, cats don't feel guilty about resting. They know they're fabulous enough to deserve it. Even the fiercest felines need a little midweek meowment to recharge.

Woman beats cancer, attributing her miraculous recovery to the nightly biscuit-making massage therap

Posted by Jesse Kessenheimer

TLC and a positive attitude can go a long way when you're suffering from a chronic illness, but that loving doesn't have to come from yourself, your doctors, or other humans. You can go straight to the source for the purrfect TLC, skipping straight to the best kind of loving there is: Cat love. Felines are very selective in their affections, so when you've earned the love of a cat, you'll have it forever.

A woman went viral recently because of her special connection with her kitties. Suffering from late-stage cancer, her doctors weren't particularly hopeful for her recovery, but her cats said, "Not on my watch!" Diligently baking biscuits on her chest every night, this duo of pumpkin orange massage therapists gave their human the best TLC on the market, loving her and cuddling her every night to help her recovery.

After months of their continued care, the woman miraculously beat cancer, attributing her recovery wholly to he in-home care team of cuddly kitties. Thanks to her loving felines, she can live a long and happy life with her kitty care team.

'I've never seen it be necessary before': Caring pawrent rethinks claw trimming after senior kitty k

Posted by Sarah Brown

Cats and their claws have a complicated relationship. Those tiny talons are perfect for climbing, stretching, and showing off a bit of cattitude, but sometimes they turn everyday life into a snag-filled adventure. One laid-back kitty has turned this into an art form, getting his claws caught on blankets, furniture, and anything remotely soft. Scratching posts? Offered and ignored. Each time he gets stuck, he gives a dramatic little wiggle, frees himself, and walks off with the calm confidence of a cat who meant to do that.

His pawrent's worry is not about protecting furniture or avoiding scratches. It is about keeping those paws safe and frustration-free. There is a quiet fear that one day a simple snag could lead to a twist or tumble, especially for a older cat who prefers naps over ninja moves.

Now comes the whisker-twitching question: to trim or not to trim? Maybe a light file, maybe just extra watchfulness. Either way, this caring pawrent wants life to stay as smooth and snag-free as possible for one delightfully unbothered feline.

‘You can’t expect Jean’s tortoiseshell smarts from orange cat Jorts’: The humorous and unprecedented

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Look, we do not want to discriminate between cats, but there is no denying that orange cats have a certain something lacking in their brains. Call it brain cells, common sense or whatever else, the truth is that there is something lacking up there that does not allow them to operate correctly. And while this can be rather hilarious at times, it also puts them in some rather stuck situations. Like the orange cat (Jorts) in this story, who had a particularly problematic problem with doors.

And while you might think that this story is about a cute cat overcoming their difficulties, this is actually the story of a half brained hooman who for whatever reason thought that they could train Jorts to be better. The extent to which they were deliciously wrong and the ensuing stupidity that unfolded is truly out of this world.

'I can't wait for this review': Airbnb host denies stay for entitled woman demanding to bring her fa

Posted by Blake Seidel

If we could, we would bring our cat everywhere with us. We dream of being one of those cat owners with a cat who wants to go outside and is ameowzing outside. You know, the ones that just perch on their shoulders while they walk around and travel the world. Unfurtunately, our cat gets incredibly overstimulated outside and literally freezes in place when we try to put a harness on her. But, there are some who take this idea too far, and thus began the birth of the "service cat".

An entitled woman tried to book an Airbnb property while demanding she be able to bring her "service cat". Obviously understanding that this whole story was a lie, the host denied her stay and rented to another person instead. Well, the "service cat" owner showed up at the property and, confusing the guest with the host, pounded on the door and demanded to be able to check in. The guest, pawsitively blindsided, called the host and asked for a full refund and left.

We would do the same, honestly, if we were in the guest's position. A crazy cat lady showing up at your Airbnb, demanding to stay in a property you booked, sounds purrfectly strange. It will make a good story later, but we would definitely want our money back.

'Never knew I would tell people a cat is my Husky's and not mine!' Cute husky finds an injured itty

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

One of the unwritten rules of the cat distribution system is that it does not only apply to us. Yes, cats adopt humans every single day, most likely because we are very easily smitten by them and make really decent servants. But other times, cats choose others as their forever homes, and we are just lucky bystanders. Sometimes, it's a cat adopting another cat. Other times, it's a cat adopting a horse. And sometimes, it's the relationship that people expect the least. Arch nemisis. Sometimes, cats adopt dogs

Or dogs adopt cats, same difference. But it does happen. All their differences get set aside, all the drama between the species becomes irrelevant, and the only thing that matters is the chemistry between the two - the instant bond that they feel. When it happens, there is no arguing with it. The love is true. The bond is real. And you, as the human of the adopter, have to adopt the other one of the pair as well. And you do. And you love it.

'He has no remorse, but I apologize on his behalf': Entire neighborhood in an uproar by hissterical

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

This story is for anyone out there who still believes that having a cat means having a boring pet. We, as cat owners, know that this is far, far from the truth, but some people still believe that. Of course, we understand why. Cats do sleep most of the day, and when they're not sleeping, they're usually eating or cleaning themselves or resting. Chill stuff. But not always. About 7.3% of the time, cats go into chaos mode, and that short period that chaos mode is activated makes up for all the boredom from before.

Now, you never know when cats will start causing chaos or what they will do, but just know… it will happen. And it will happen in the funniest way possible. For some people, it's cats breaking something or eating something that they shouldn't. For others, it's their cats becoming ninjas and attacking almonds, or it's their cats going on an adventure inside their walls, and for this person… it was their cat becoming the most notorious neighborhood cat burglar (literally) who has ever lived.

Reagancomics (2 of 5): Pre-Inaugural

Ronald Reagan's first appearance in comics doesn't foreshadow his political career at all. It shows him only as an actor--with plans to keep acting until he's old enough to play parts with his glasses on.

He could've played Clint Eastwood's dad. )
